| somewhere in the depths
there lies a longing within
that circumnavigates my life line
as i stare listless at my hand
the moon faintly twinkles in the background
dancing reflections on the waters edge
shine deeply into the cloudless night
that steady hum that echos deep within
vibrates to my very fingers
as i trace the line of longevity
to a place i vaguely remember
upon the faint glimmers of childhood
laughs and screams that i'm forever haunted with
and closing my minds eye it all fades away
melting the icy gaze and calming my spirit
then spilled from my lips like the blood that splashed.
